On the morning of June 5, a delegation led by Dr. Udomvit Chaisakulkiet, President of Rangsit University, Thailand, comprising seven members, paid an official visit to our university for academic exchange. A bilateral meeting was held in Conference Room D203 of the Academic Report Center, during which the two institutions renewed their Memorandum of Cooperation. President Wu Zhishen and Vice President Li Huanfeng of our university attended the meeting, together with representatives from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, School of Design and Art, School of International Education, School of Continuing Education, Henan University of Technology Design and Research Institute, and School of Management. The session was chaired by Liu Guoshi, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office.

Conference Site
First, on behalf of the university, Wu Zhishen extended a warm welcome to President Udomvit Chaisakulkiet and his delegation. He then provided a brief overview of the university, covering aspects such as its academic programs and the size of its faculty and student body. He stated that the two universities share a strong common foundation and cooperative potential in many fields. Therefore, cherishing and maintaining the long-standing friendship between the two universities since 2018 is not only a shared responsibility but also aligns with both institutions’ international development strategies. He expressed hope that renewing the MoU would serve as an opportunity to deeply explore areas of cooperation, innovate collaborative models, and effectively promote substantial exchanges and cooperation between the two sides.

Dr. Udomvit Chaisakulkiet, President of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and briefly introduced the overall profile and strengths of his university. He hoped that this visit would further deepen friendship and mutual trust, laying the groundwork for implementing the MoU, promoting faculty and student exchanges, and achieving practical cooperation in disciplines such as design and art.

Subsequently, Wu Zhishen and Udomvit Chaisakulkiet jointly renewed the MoU between the two universities, witnessed by vice presidents from both sides.

The Signing Ceremony
During the meeting, representatives from School of International Education, School of Design and Art, College of Continuing Education, and Design and Research Institute of Henan University of Technology, as well as relevant colleges from RMUTR, presented their respective teaching and research features and cooperative intentions. Both sides then engaged in in-depth discussions on potential areas of collaboration.
After the meeting, President Udomvit Chaisakulkiet and his delegation visited the China Grain Museum and the National Engineering Research Center for Wheat and Corn Deep Processing at our university, gaining a deeper understanding of our research capabilities in grain processing and storage.

The renewal of this MoU will help expand cooperation and exchanges between HAUT and Thai public universities, providing a richer and broader international exchange platform for faculty and students of both institutions.
