On the morning of May 23, a delegation led by Ms. Anne Laure Paumier, Manager of the International Relations Department of the French Grain Industry Association, paid an official visit to our university for academic exchange. President Wu Zhishen received the delegation. Representatives from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and the Office of Science and Technology participated in the meeting. The session was chaired by Liu Guoshi, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office.
Wu Zhishen extended a warm welcome to Ms. Anne Laure Paumier and her delegation. He briefly introduced the overview of grain production in Henan Province and our university’s research characteristics featuring full industrial chain coverage in the field of post-harvest grain processing. He pointed out that Henan Province, as a major agricultural province, possesses inherent advantages in the development of the grain industry. He expressed hope that both sides could engage in in-depth cooperation in areas such as grain production and processing in the future, jointly promoting exchanges and development in the grain industries of China and France.

Subsequently, Wang Youyou, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, provided a detailed introduction to the university’s basic overview, key characteristic disciplines, and areas of international exchange and cooperation. Zhao Renyong, Director of the Office of Science and Technology, systematically and comprehensively reviewed the over 30-year history of cooperation and exchange achievements between the two sides since 1994.

Symposium Venue
Ms. Anne Laure Paumier expressed her gratitude for the warm reception from the university and provided a comprehensive introduction to the overview of the French Grain Industry Association and the development and cooperation of the French grain industry in the Chinese market. She expressed hope that through this visit, both sides could identify suitable collaboration themes and methods in the development of the grain industry, and advance in-depth cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation and technical exchange within the grain sector.
