President Wu Zhishen was invited to lead a delegation to visit the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The heads of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the College of Food Science and Engineering, the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and the College of Design and Art accompanied the visit. Both sides reached multiple cooperation intentions in aspects such as discipline development, mutual visits of teachers, scientific research cooperation, joint cultivation of talents, and short-term exchanges during winter and summer vacations, achieving remarkable results.
February 28th
Our school and Deggendorf Institute of Technology jointly held an online signing ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) online, officially establishing a partnership. President Wu Zhishen and relevant colleagues from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office participated in the signing ceremony in Room A606 of the Administration Building. Professor Waldemar Berg, President of Deggendorf Institute of Technology, Frau Prof.Heigl-Murauer, Vice President, Liu Guoshi, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of our school, and the heads of relevant units such as the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the School of Information Science and Engineering participated in the signing ceremony at the Shanghai venue. The ceremony was hosted by Liu Guoshi.
April 29th
The ceremony for the appointment of Seeram Ramakrishna, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Royal Academy of Engineering of the United Kingdom, the Academy of Engineering of Singapore, the India National Academy of Engineering,ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology, and the International Academy of Engineering and Technology, as a visiting professor was held in Room A617 of the Administration Building. President Wu Zhishen, Vice President Bai Yanhong, Zhang Qiang, Director of the Personnel Department, Luo Deping, an academician and the dean of the School of Frontier Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, and Zhang Hao, the vice dean, attended the ceremony.
June 5th
Dr. Udomvit Chaisakulkiet, the president of Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin in Thailand, and Ms. Kanokrat Phosri, the vice president, along with a delegation of seven people, visited our university for an exchange. A symposium was held in the D203 conference room of the Academic Report Center, and the Memorandum of Understanding was renewed. Our university's president, Wu Zhishen, and vice president, Li Huanfeng, as well as relevant colleagues from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the School of Design and Art, the School of International Education, the School of Continuing Education, the Henan University of Technology Design Research Institute, and the School of Management attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Liu Guoshi, the director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office.

Our university officially signed the "Agreement on the Double Doctoral Degree Program between Henan University of Technology and Politecnico di Torino" with Politecnico di Torino in Italy, jointly launching a talent cultivation program for double doctoral degrees.
September 4th
The non-independent legal person Sino-foreign cooperative education institution - HAUT-Inha Institute of Technology, jointly applied for by our university and Inha University of South Korea, was officially approved by the Ministry of Education.
October 26th
Our school and the United Nations World Food Programme jointly hosted the "South-South Cooperation Policy Dialogue - International Symposium on Food Loss Reduction by 2025".
November 14th
The 2025 China-US Soybean Innovation and Market Outlook Conference, hosted by the China-US Soybean Product Application Value Chain Innovation Center and co-organized by the American Soybean Association and our university, was held in Zhengzhou. Li Hongtao, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Henan Province, Jian Su, CEO of the American Soybean Association (via video), and Bai Yanhong, Vice President of Henan University of Technology, attended the event. The opening ceremony was presided over by Xuanyan Zhang, the China Regional Director of the Soybean Innovation Center of the American Soybean Association.
November 11th
The inauguration ceremony for the "HAUT-Inha Institute of Technology" was jointly held by our university and South Korea's Inha University at the Lianhua Street Campus of HAUT. Attending the ceremony were Wang Huaxing, Director of the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Office of the Henan Provincial Department of Education; Zhao Mingyu, President of Inha University; Wu Zhishen, President of our university; Zhao Renyong, Vice President of our university; along with responsible officials from relevant functional departments and schools. The ceremony was presided over by Liu Guoshi, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.
November 10th
The United Nations World Food Programme has sent a letter of thanks to our university, expressing its sincere gratitude for the outstanding support provided by our university for the successful holding of the "2025 International Conference on Food Loss Reduction" in Wuhan from October 25th to 28th, 2025. The letter points out that the success of this conference is attributed to the professional contributions of our university team, which not only strengthened South-South cooperation and knowledge exchange, but also injected strong impetus into the global cause of food loss reduction. The World Food Programme highly commends this and looks forward to further deepening cooperation with our university on the theme design of the PHLM (Post-Harvest Loss Management) seminar next year, jointly committed to enhancing knowledge sharing and capacity building in South-South cooperation.

Zhao Bing, the representative of the United Nations World Food Programme in China, and his delegation visited our school for an exchange. School leaders and responsible persons from relevant functional departments and colleges accompanied them in related activities. Both sides conducted a comprehensive and in-depth exchange on further deepening South-South cooperation, promoting post-harvest grain loss reduction, and international talent cultivation.
December 5th
Our school and the French Grain Industry Association renewed their cooperation memorandum in Beijing. Vice President Zhao Renyong, Chairman of the International Relations Department of the French Grain Industry Association, Philippe HEUSELE, and relevant management personnel from both sides attended the signing ceremony.
December 16th
Professor Wu Zhishen, the president, and Professor Giuseppe Carlo Marano from Politecnico di Torino, jointly presented the admission letter to Du Xiaotong, the first doctoral student admitted to the dual-mentorship dual-degree program for doctoral students under the cooperation between the two universities. This marks that the joint doctoral student training mechanism between the two universities has officially moved from "agreement signing" to "implementation", opening a new chapter in the joint training of doctoral students. The heads of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, the Personnel Department, the School of Civil Engineering (School of Architecture), and other departments and units participated and witnessed the event together.
December 16th
British Ambassador to China Mr. Peter Wilson CMG led a diplomatic delegation, including British Consul General in Wuhan Mr. Dominic McAllister and Deputy Consul General Mr. Richard Cox, to visit Henan University of Technology (HAUT). They attended the opening ceremony of the “2025 China-UK International Photography Competition,” jointly organized by the University of Manchester and Henan University of Technology. This marked Ambassador Wilson’s first visit to a higher education institution in Henan since assuming his post, reflecting high recognition of our university’s international initiatives and achievements in UK-China exchanges and cooperation.
